About Us

East Bay Waldorf School prepares children for the future with its uniquely vibrant and well-rounded education that blends the unconventional and the traditional, reconnects children with the world, and educates on a human scale.  EBWS is an independent, non-sectarian Waldorf school serving families from Parent-Child through Grade 8.  Located on 11 awe-inspiring acres in El Sobrante, we offer an accredited Waldorf program which offers a holistic school environment that integrates academic, artistic and practical disciplines. We cultivate a love of learning, creative thinking, self-confidence, understanding of others and an abiding moral purpose. Our well-rounded curriculum is designed to meet each stage of a student’s development from early childhood through adolescence.

The honeybee Jubilee, is our school’s upcoming auction and fundraising event. This annual fundraising event brings our community together in support of East Bay Waldorf School with over 150 attendees from all over the East and North Bay.
